Manor Barn is a grade 2 listed building which has its own distinct character. The home is set in well-kept grounds and enjoys a peaceful environment. The home has been carefully developed allowing it to retain many of the original features. There are 31 rooms all equipped to 21st century standards.

What a fantastic afternoon at Manor Barn Nursing Home with Lee Austin performing for our residents 🎤🎶

The room was filled with smiles, singing, clapping and plenty of happy memories. It was wonderful to see so many residents joining in and enjoying themselves.

Music is incredibly powerful, especially for older people and those living with dementia. A familiar song can bring back memories from years ago, lift someone's mood and help people feel connected to those around them. Sometimes when words are difficult to find, music speaks for us.

Seeing the joy on our residents faces reminds us just how important moments like these are. A huge thank you to Lee Austin for sharing his talent and helping to create such a special afternoon for everyone. 🎶❤️

🍔 12:00 Noon – BBQ lunch
🎯 Afternoon – Outdoor games and summer fun
🎶 2:00 PM – Live jazz performance from Ali

Grab your feather boas or flat caps, dust off your dancing shoes, and join us for a fabulous summer celebration inspired by the Jazz Age.

🌍🎶 There’s nothing quite like music and dancing to bring people together.

Emma and Rares have been taking our residents on a trip around the world through dance, sharing styles and music from different countries and getting everyone involved, residents and staff, whatever their ability. 💃🕺

The smiles, laughter and little moments of recognition have been so special to see. For many residents, the music brings back fond memories of dancing with loved ones and happy times gone by. ❤️

Thank you, Emma and Rares, for bringing so much joy, energy and warmth into our home.

Manor Barn are proud to announce the opening of our community dementia Cafe was a wonderful success.

A warm and welcoming space where everyone in the community can come together, feel comfortable, safe and supported.

Yesterday hosted our very first dementia café filled with dementia friendly activities, plenty of cake and a lovely cuppa shared among friends.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We’d love to welcome even more faces next time, so please feel free to join us at our next dementia café. 💙

We’re delighted to welcome you to the Manor Barn Care Home Host First Community Dementia Café — a warm, friendly, and supportive space for anyone living with dementia, along with their carers, family members, and loved ones.
