It is with great sadness that today we say goodbye to our fabulous Office Administrator, Cathy 💐

Cathy has been with the company for over 3 years and has been a fantastic addition to the team throughout her time with us. ⭐ She has built wonderful relationships with all of her colleagues — especially Timmy 🐶😂 who will be very sad to see her go and will certainly miss those doggy treats too! 🍖🐾

Cathy has always been the friendly face and welcoming voice for our visitors, staff, clients, and their families 😊 and she will be missed dearly by everyone at RAH Sefton. We would like to thank Cathy for all of her hard work, loyalty, and commitment over the years 👏 and for everything she has contributed to the team.

There's currently a yellow heat-health warning in place across the North West 🟡

With temperatures rising over the weekend, now's the time to make sure you're ready for the hot weather.

🧴 Covering up, drinking plenty of water, finding shade and using sunscreen are all good ways to beat the heat in the coming days

🥵 It's especially important to check in on more vulnerable people, including children and the elderly

🐕 We also need to protect our pets from the heat! Make sure they have plenty of water, never leave them in a hot car, and take dogs on walks at cooler times of the day such as early morning or late evening.

Today we say a heartfelt farewell to Ailsa as she begins her well-earned retirement 🎉💐

Over the past 5 and a half years, Ailsa has made a massive contribution to our success as our Compliance & Quality Assurance Officer. Her loyalty, commitment, professionalism, and support have made her a truly valued member of the team, and she will be greatly missed by us all — both as a colleague and a friend 💙

💚 Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 💚

Yesterday at Right at Home Sefton, we had a very special little visitor — Slinky, Leah’s adorable 10-week-old sausage dog 🐶

It’s amazing how such a small visitor could have such a big impact. Just having Slinky in the office brightened everyone’s mood, brought plenty of smiles, and gave us all a little boost during the day.

Pets can play such an important role in supporting mental health and wellbeing. Whether it’s companionship, comfort, reducing stress, or simply making us laugh, animals really do have a special way of helping people feel happier and more connected.

🌿 Nature & Wellbeing Sessions at Lunt Meadows (Booking only)🌿

We’re pleased to share details of a Nature & Wellbeing project at Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve (Thornton).

These free, small‑group sessions are designed to support wellbeing through time outdoors and gentle activities in nature. They may be particularly suitable for people living with mental health conditions, including dementia, who enjoy being outside.

🗓 Every Thursday
🕐 1pm - 3pm
📍 Lunt Meadows Nature Reserve, Lunt Road, Thornton, L29 8YA

⏳ Weekly sessions over around 3 months
💚 Free to attend (travel costs reimbursed up to £8 per session)
🚗 Free parking available

Sessions are open to adults living in the community. Anyone with dementia who needs support with personal care will need to attend with a carer. Places are allocated following a short suitability check with the project organiser.
