🎉 Cheers to 10 Years! 🎉

What a day we had celebrating Park View’s 10th birthday! 🥳💛

We had sunshine ☀️, we had an absolutely spectacular deluge of rain 🌧️, we had a delicious cream tea 🍓🍰 and, most importantly, we had a home full of residents, relatives, friends and colleagues celebrating together.

The wonderful Zoe from Mini Concerts kept us singing, dancing and smiling, and even the very British weather couldn’t dampen the party spirit! 🎶💃

Ten years is a very special milestone. Over that time, so many people have called Park View home, worked as part of our team, visited loved ones, volunteered, entertained us and become part of the Park View family.

A very special thank you to Lucy, Lucy, Tracy and Lisa, from our Wellbeing, Admin and Catering teams, who put so much time, thought and energy into planning the party, and, of course, to their brilliant teams who helped bring it all together ❤️ From the decorations and entertainment to the food, hosting and all those little details behind the scenes, it really was a team effort.

And a huge thank you to everyone across Park View who helped bring the day together, the decorators, bakers, servers, hosts, dancers, singers, emergency umbrella and blanket-bringers, washer-uppers, and scone-eaters! Everyone who made the day feel like a proper celebration.

Today has been about celebrating the people who make Park View what it is, and all the friendships, laughter, memories and moments that have filled our home over the last decade.

Here’s to the memories we’ve made over our first ten years – and to plenty more still to come 🥂

⚽ Come on England! 🏴

The excitement is building here as we're all set for tonight's England match!

We've decorated with plenty of red and white, and everyone has been getting into the football spirit ready to cheer the team on together. It's always wonderful to bring everyone together for special sporting occasions, sharing memories, conversations and plenty of excitement.

We're looking forward to an evening of football, good company and hopefully celebrating an England victory! 🤞⚽

🥤💙 A Wonderful Visit from Our Neighbours 💙🥤

We'd like to say a huge thank you to our lovely neighbours at Kwik Fit for popping in to see us recently!

In the middle of the warm weather, the team very kindly brought along some refreshing cold drinks for us all – a thoughtful gesture that was greatly appreciated by everyone ☀️🥤

During their visit, we were delighted to show them around our home and introduce them to everyone. They took the time to stop, chat, and get to know people along the way, which made their visit even more special.

Community connections like these mean so much to us. It's always heartwarming to see local businesses taking an interest in the people who live and work here, and we know our residents thoroughly enjoyed the conversations and company.

Thank you again to everyone at Kwik Fit for your kindness, generosity, and for taking the time to visit us. We hope to welcome you back again soon! 😊

We think Wellbeing Manager Lucy may have started the Park View induction process a little early... 😉

Her grandson paid us a visit this week and, as always, quickly became the centre of attention! He's already a regular at our weekly children's visits with Carrie, so it's safe to say he's becoming quite familiar with life at Park View.

We absolutely adore seeing him and waste no time showering him with smiles, cuddles, and plenty of fuss. We suspect he's already mastered one of the most important Park View skills – brightening everyone's day! ☀️

At this rate, we'll have his uniform ordered and his staff photo taken before he can even walk 😄

Thank you to Lucy and her daughter for sharing her gorgeous grandson with us. These special intergenerational moments bring so much joy.

🎲♟️ Board Games, Banter & Friendly Rivalry ♟️🎲

We enjoyed a fantastic board games afternoon recently,and whilst there were plenty of games to choose from, Scrabble was undoubtedly the favourite.

Of course, no game of Scrabble would be complete without a debate over those mysterious two-letter words. Are they really words? Who decided that? And why do they always seem to appear when someone lands on a triple word score? 😄

🌳☀️ We've been thoroughly enjoying our sunny morning walks around Gloucester Park, making the most of the cooler temperatures before the day warms up.

We're so fortunate to have such a wonderful green space on our doorstep. From the peaceful Memorial Garden, perfect for a moment of reflection, to the much-loved Aviary, which always sparks conversation and smiles, there's something for everyone to enjoy ☀️🌳

🚨🏃‍♂️ Gloucester 10k - Important Travel Information 🏃‍♀️🚨

Reminder that this Sunday 28th June, the Gloucester 10k will be taking place across the city centre.

We are proud to support this wonderful community event, which brings together runners, charities, and supporters for a fantastic local cause.

Please note there will be temporary road closures in and around Gloucester during the event. If you are planning to visit us that morning, we kindly ask that you check your travel route in advance and allow extra time for your journey.
