MorphFit Gentle Movement Project Ltd. Award winning onsite and online gentle exercise programme. Sessions are centred around chair- based and where appropriate standing exercises.

As a social enterprise the core of our work is funded however we also deliver commissioned programmes for clients. We deliver gentle movement courses to the elderly, carers, those suffering isolation and all age groups with acknowledged health conditions. Group classes last for 45 minutes and are adapted to meet the needs of each individual, blocks run for 9 consecutive weeks. Exercise is an all-powerful medicine for many common health concerns- releasing tension and stress, exercise boosts physical and mental energy, and enhances well-being through the release of endorphins.

“Other classes and gyms can be intimidating, attending those in the past I’ve felt like people are judging me, but I don’t feel like that with MorphFit, it’s so inclusive, I’m very comfortable in those sessions”.

“They improve my physical and mental health”.

“It allows me to connect with new people and form friendships”

“It’s a way to improve my body and mind whilst having fun with others at the same time”

We were delighted to host 6 MSc Physiotherapy students from Glasgow Caledonian University in our Parkinson's class this week. The students have selected MorphFit and our 'Project Parkinson's' as the basis of a Health Promotion project they are conducting as part of their studies.

The students were given a warm welcome by our Parkinson's Class Instructor Gayle, and our wonderful service users, who were happy to be observed in their class and then answer any questions the students had over a cup of tea afterwards.

It was great to see the students get fully involved in the class, helping our service users and trying out the exercises themselves! A wonderful group that we would welcome back anytime! 🫶

Earlier this month we hosted an event in line with Climate Action Lanarkshire Climate Festival 2026.
Team MorphFit descended on Bothwell Road Park to check in on the bird boxes and bug hotels we placed there in the summer.
We also took part in a litter pick, where Otis the dog was named Top Picker, before we enjoyed an alfresco lunch!

MorphFit were delighted to receive funding from Parkinson's UK to develop Project Parkinson's, a movement programme designed for people with Parkinson's.

Douglas kindly shared his experience of the programme with us-

“The continuity is so important, if classes stopped it would be a serious threat to those who come along, it would set them back”.
