**When the healer needs healing too **
Today, I'm sharing something a little more personal. I often talk about mental health and self-care, but i don't often talk about my own struggles and the importance of making myself a priority, too.most people who see me as a smiling approachable person who will do anything to help others . I spend my time encouraging people to slow down, take care of themselves, and make their well-being a priority. The truth is, somewhere along the way, I stopped taking my own advice . I am a carer for my mam, and I work 25 hours a week, and I have a family . Like many people, I juggle multiple responsibilities and sometimes feel like there is very little space left for me. my own self-care often ends up at the bottom of the list. The reality is that self-care isn't a luxury or something we can keep putting off until later, its a necessary . when we constantly give to everyone else without refilling our own cup , eventually we begin to feel exhausted and overwhelmed and disconnected from ourselves. I know what helps me feel grounded, do you. I love reading and going to the gym, also taking little walks and spending time reconnecting with myself . But recently, those things haven't happened as much as it should have, and I have felt the impact of that. so this is my reminder to myself , as much as it is to anyone reading this, you can not pour from an empty cup looking after your mental health isn't selfish. It's essential. iim learning to make space for myself again , one small step at a time. if you've been neglecting your own wellbeing , maybe this is a gentle reminder, too. you matter your health matters , and you deserve the same care and kindness that you give to everyone else ❤️💖💗 'speacefulpath
