πβοΈ A Lovely Day Out in Penzance βοΈπ
Recently, some of our detox residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to Penzance, taking in the fresh sea air, beautiful scenery, and spending quality time together.
One particularly touching moment came from a resident who enjoys collecting pebbles. As they explored the shoreline, she carefully selected stones that reminded her of fellow residents and members of staff. Each pebble had its own unique characteristics that reflected the qualities she sees in the people around her.
One pebble in particular stood out. It had beautiful green veins running through it, which reminded her of Tali's eye colour. The pebble was smooth to the touch, and she shared that it reflected Tali's gentle and kind nature. It was such a thoughtful and heartfelt gesture, highlighting the meaningful connections that are formed during recovery.
Moments like these remind us that recovery is not just about overcoming challenges, but also about building relationships, finding joy in simple things, and recognising the positive qualities in ourselves and others.
π Thank you to everyone who made the day so special. π
