At Unsworth’s Funeral Service community and support has always been at the heart of who we are and what we do 🤍

That’s why we are so proud of our very own Jackie Unsworth who will be running The Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday 31st May 2026 to raise money for a wonderful local children’s charity, Holly’s Hearts, that do incredible work for young people and families in our area helping to put a smile on the faces of children living with cancer.

Jackie and her fellow Holly’s Hearts Runners began their Couch to Half Marathon journey as complete novices & non runners in August 2025.
Meeting every Tuesday & Thursday evening at 8pm, they started by jogging for 1 minute and then walking for 3, eventually progressing to complete 5k, 10k, 16k (10 miles) and now they prepare to run 13.1 miles in memory of Holly Prince, raising funds for Holly’s Hearts. They’ve trained on their own at weekends & in all weathers, through dark winter nights, the rain and the snow.

Their final training is underway, and Jackie is looking forward to taking on the challenge for such a meaningful cause.

We hope you will join us in wishing Jackie and her team mates all the best of luck for this upcoming challenge. We’re all right behind you! 🍀
