This week, Matt attended the Bereavement Group at Cuppa Café in Felixstowe ☕️

Held on the first Wednesday of every month, from 10am - 12:30pm, the group provides a welcoming opportunity for people who have experienced bereavement or loss to come together in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Grief can often feel isolating, but spending time with others who understand can make a real difference. The group is positive, friendly, and informal, offering a chance to chat, share experiences, make new connections, and enjoy good company over a cuppa tea (and cake!) 🍰

If you or someone you know could benefit from meeting others who have experienced loss, the Bereavement Group meets monthly at Cuppa Café, High Road West, Felixstowe and you will usually find Sam from our Felixstowe branch there 🥰

We had the privilege of caring for Marjorie, the beloved Nan of our colleague and friend Matt.

Matt himself conducted the service and led the cortege on a beautiful sunny day, surrounded by stunning purple flowers - her favourite colour - made by Murtons florist ipswich

As we made our way to Seven Hills Crematorium, classical music filled the air, a fitting tribute to someone who loved it so dearly. Her final journey, accompanied by her Grandson and the music she cherished was a truly special and moving moment.

Every family we are entrusted to care for is important to us and every funeral is unique. This day carried an added personal connection as we helped Matt and his family say goodbye to someone they love so much.

Rest peacefully, Marjorie, safe in Jehovah's memory 💜

Recently we said farewell to a much loved lady at St Mary's Church, Harkstead, surrounded by beautiful flowers and warm sunshine - a fitting setting to celebrate a life so dearly cherished.

St Mary's has stood at the heart of the village since Norman times, offering comfort and reflection for generations over almost 900 years.
Among those remembered in the peaceful churchyard are two local boys, Lionel and Eric, both aged 12, who are buried side by side after tragically losing their lives in 1942 when an unexploded AA shell detonated at Palace Quay during the Second World War. Their shared grave remains a quiet reminder of how deeply history touches even the smallest communities.

In the same place of remembrance and peace, family and friends came together to honour a life lived with love and kindness and we were very grateful and honoured to have been able to help during this time ❤️

Church bells ring for many reasons, such as to call worshippers to services, mark celebrations like weddings, and to commemorate national events or funerals.

The tradition uses a complex team technique called "change ringing" where bells swing in full circles to create shifting musical patterns 🔔🎵

We are very grateful to the volunteers who help to keep this lovely and very meaningful tradition going. Just like the bell ringers in this video at St. Margarets Church Ipswich

Today the team wanted to support the newly opened "Mick's fish & chips" on Spring Road, just down the road from our Ipswich Branch and it is a big yes from us! ✅️

Friendly service from Lee & Sello and a very tasty lunch to help keep us fuelled for a busy day. Safe to say, we will be regulars! We are wishing you all the best on this new venture 👏🏼

What a fantastic day at the Woodbridge 10K!

Two members of our team, Hayley and Darren, proudly took part in the event to help raise money for the amazing Katie Trust charity.

They said "It was an incredible atmosphere from start to finish. From the encouragement before the race to the cheers along the route and the generous donations, every bit of support helped motivate us. It was a brilliant experience to come together as a team, take on the challenge, and raise money for such a worthwhile cause. A huge thank you to everyone, we truly appreciate it. And a big thank you to the Woodbridge Shufflers for yet another perfectly organised event. We’re proud to have been part of such a special event and to support the important work that The Katie Trust does"
