It’s nearly been a whole month since we headed to Birmingham NEC for The Workplace Event and what a few days it was! 🙌

From exhibiting and speaking, to catching up with familiar faces and meeting brilliant new people, we had a blast 🫶🏼

Sometimes in the busy day-to-day, it’s easy to forget why we do what we do. But being there, talking to people about first aid and mental health training, that we’re genuinely obsessed about, gave us a real boost!

Because at the heart of it all, we’re helping everyday people become heroes on standby - ready to step in with confidence when someone needs them most, whether that’s during a first aid emergency or a mental health crisis. 🦸

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us. Bring on the next event!

At SkillBase First Aid, we’ve been on a mission to create confident, capable heroes on standby for over 20 years and we’re so proud to add 'Mini Heroes' to the list, our brand-new first aid programme for children aged 4–11! 🎓✨

🌟 What is Mini Heroes?
A ready-to-use, practical first aid curriculum designed specifically for primary schools, early years settings and children’s groups. It helps children learn how to help others calmly, safely and without fear.

📘 What children will explore:
✔ EYFS (ages 3–5): Helping others & calling for help
✔ KS1 (ages 5–7): Safety awareness & emergency calls

Today is Brew Monday! ☕

The third Monday in January is often labelled the “most difficult day of the year” but that’s actually a myth. Samaritans remind us there’s no such thing as Blue Monday. We all have ups and downs, and they don’t stick to a calendar.

So today, let’s rewrite the story. Make it about connection.

Take a moment to share a brew with family, friends, colleagues, or loved ones. Whether it’s a Monday morning coffee or a weekend cuppa, it’s the shared time that matters. A small conversation can be a big act of care, and everyday moments like these are where quiet heroes show up.

As we step into 2026, we’re taking a moment to pause, reflect, and reset 🩵

2025 gave us so much to be proud of! Incredible people, powerful learning moments, and thousands of everyday heroes feeling more confident to step in when it matters.

In 2026, we’re being intentional. Protecting our time and minds. Continuing to create confident heroes on standby. Welcoming brilliant new instructors. And launching exciting new training to inspire the next generation of heroes. Bring it on!

Over 16,000 individuals trained in life savings skills

What a year it’s been! We’ve trained more incredible first aid and mental wellbeing instructors, created more heroes on standby, and seen courage and confidence grow in every corner. Knowing that more people are ready to step in when it matters most… honestly, it doesn’t get better than that!

Here’s to 2026 when we'll reopen Friday 2nd January refreshed and ready to create more heroes!
