🚨 URGENT COMMUNITY SOS FOR PARK PALACE PONIES! 🚨
We have a sudden roof leak that has found its way down to our electrics. While our 7 ponies are completely safe, dry, and being looked after, we need to act fast to protect our community hub before the next downpour!
As a local charity, we are looking for a community-minded roofer and an electrician who might be able to help us out urgently—ideally as an act of community goodwill, or at a heavily discounted charity rate.

We’re hiring - Mental Health Practitioner

Liverpool Children and Young People’s Services are on an incredible journey as we implement our Family Safeguarding model, focusing on a whole-family, systemic approach to create lasting change.

We’re looking for a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our Adult Worker Practice Hub, working as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team alongside Police, Probation, and Substance Misuse colleagues.

In this role, you will:
• Deliver high-quality adult mental health assessments and interventions
• Provide timely support, safety planning, and crisis response
• Build trusted relationships with parents and carers
• Collaborate across agencies to ensure safe, positive outcomes for children and families

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of meaningful, innovative practice, using motivational interviewing and a strengths-based approach to empower families and keep children safely within their networks.

Ideal candidates will bring strong experience in adult mental health, multi-agency working, and safeguarding knowledge.

🚧 Queens Drive Project Update 🚧

As part of our ongoing work on Queens Drive, we’ll be carrying out a full road closure between Aigburth Vale and North Mossley Hill Road during the May half-term.

📅 Closure dates: Monday 25 May – Sunday 31 May

This closure will allow us to complete several key elements of the scheme, including the installation of verge protection bollards, drainage improvements, and putting in underground ducts beneath the road for future crossings. Carrying out this work during the school holiday will help minimise disruption at busier times of the year.

Signed diversion routes:
➡️ Eastbound traffic: Aigburth Vale → Elmswood Road → Rose Lane → Allerton Road
⬅️ Westbound traffic: The same route in reverse

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we carry out these essential improvements.
