We are looking forward to empowering the general public with their digital lives tomorrow morning. The session will be delivered as part of NHS Thames Valley Integrated Care Board's Dying Well Series. For many, 'Dying Well' needs to include planning, safeguarding and passing on important parts of their digital life.

This session will educate residents within the Thames Valley region about the importance of this often, overlooked area. It will then guide residents through the process of documenting 'what matters most' to them in the digital world and how to talk about and share their stated wishes.

Planning Your Digital Legacy (by Saint Francis Hospice)

"Many parts of our lives are now digital - from photos and videos on our phones, to email accounts, social media, online banking, subscriptions and cloud storage. Thinking about what you would like to happen to these can make things easier for the people important to you.

You do not have to do everything at once. This page is a simple starting point to help you think about your digital life, record your wishes, and talk to someone you trust."

Many parts of life are now digital. This guide can help you think about what you would like to happen to your online accounts, photos, devices and digital memories.

"Our digital lives have become important.

When we die, our digital legacy can become very important for loved ones.

Making plans for your digital life is altruistic and it does not need to be complex."

Flashback from yesterday's Dying Matters Awareness Week Conference (by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and Nottingham Hospitals Charity).

It was a wonderful event and one that enhanced our own learning.

In our session's Q&A it was great to learn that digital legacy conversations are now taking place within Nottingham care settings. We hope to hear similar feedback from attendees of conferences that we are part of in the weeks and months to come. 🤞
