We took Plot to Prague.

We headed over for Prague Coffee Festival and had a great time sharing our coffees with everyone who stopped by.

The standard of coffee is seriously high, and the hospitality is just as good. We love to see it.

Huge thanks to Industra Coffee for having us and giving us the chance to share what we do, and to Acid Coffee for the cupping party.

And to Kofio.cz , Supernova Bakehouse , 300km coffee and bakery 🥮☕ , and MUGSHOT COFFEE thank you all for looking after us and making us feel so welcome.

Our seasonal favourite, Supernatural, is back for the spooky season, and apparently that means Bryan is too.

We get the coffee, we get Bryan. It's a package deal.

One's a cult favourite, the other is still finding his feet. We're not entirely sure what Bryan's role is yet, but he's making himself at home.

As for Supernatural, there's a reason we keep bringing it back.

Coming all the way from Konga, Yirgacheffe, this Ethiopian coffee takes traditional natural processing a little further. The cherries undergo an extended fermentation in carefully controlled conditions before being slowly dried in the shade. Nothing particularly paranormal about it, but it does make for a pretty incredible cup.

Expect lively citrus, juicy stone fruits and plenty of candy-like sweetness.

Supernatural is available online for a limited time. Bryan's departure date is yet to be confirmed.

That's right, you guessed it. Supernatural is back just in time for the spooky season. There's a reason this coffee has become a cult classic, and it's not just because the processing sounds like witchcraft.

So what actually is Supernatural processing?

Coming all the way from Konga, Yirgacheffe, this Ethiopian coffee takes traditional natural processing a step further.

Ripe cherries are piled into thick layers, wrapped up and left to ferment in a carefully controlled environment before being slowly dried in the shade. Temperature, moisture and sugar levels are monitored throughout to keep fermentation in check.

Not particularly paranormal, but the results are extraordinary.

Expect lively citrus, juicy stone fruits and plenty of candy-like sweetness.

Available online for the spooky season, and only around for a limited time.

Costa Rica is an origin well known for its high quality Arabica production. Its reputation grew in part due to a previous ban on cultivating Robusta, as well as their micro-mill revolution and the subsequent global popularisation of "honey" processed coffees in the early 2000s. Despite only accounting for 1% of world production, this is an origin with some unbelievable coffees. This washed gesha is a really complex and truly special lot. We taste typical variety characteristics like jasmine and citrus but with deep blackcurrant undertones and a rich honey-like sweetness.

For the third instalment of Crossroads, we’re joined by Dr Fabiana Carvalho for an exploration of flavour, perception and how our senses shape the way we experience coffee.

Expect a short talk and Q&A, followed by an interactive cupping using The Coffee Garden of Forking Paths, Fabiana’s card-based sensory game.

This is the first time we’ve featured an Indian coffee in our ICON series, and we’re truly excited about it. Often considered as an origin for bulk lots used in blends, India has the potential to produce excellent coffees and the pace of development there is staggering. Processed experimentally by Akshay Dashrath and the team at Mooleh Manay, this competition lot is outstanding. The cup brims with rich fruit flavours, tasting like mulberry compote, grapes, and pear juice.

From 7–12 September, Plot are hosting the SCA Evolved Q Grader Course. an intensive six days covering sensory calibration, cupping, defect recognition and Coffee Value Assessment.

The course will be taught by , Plot’s Head of Training, UK Cup Tasters Champion 2024, Q-Instructor, SCA AST and SCA UK Sensory Judge.

The Q Grader is one of the industry’s leading qualifications for coffee professionals, giving you the skills and framework to evaluate coffee with consistency across the supply chain.

For experienced cuppers, roasters, green buyers and other coffee professionals looking to take their sensory skills to the next level.

NOW OPEN FOR PRE-ORDERS! First roast shipping 3rd August.

The second of our lots from Ecuador this season is a beautiful Sidra from Maputo. This exotic and highly prized variety has its roots in a now closed breeding facility, allegedly linked to Nestlé, located in Pichincha province, the origin of this lot. This meticulously honey processed example is truly special and it shows loads of complexity. We get juicy red fruits like raspberry and pomegranate with delightful floral notes like hibiscus and soft lemongrass undertones. A stunning coffee from an exceptional farm.

Presenting a limited edition collaboration between us and our friend Alexandru Marin from Sip Collective, the current UK Roasting Champion. A friend of PLOT for quite some time, we jumped at the chance to work together, and what better way than by making the most of his profiling skills. We sourced the coffee, and he designed the roast profile to accentuate delicate florals and juicy citrus notes. This a a special lot of SL9, colloquially known as "Inca Gesha", and we're tasting orange blossom, juicy citrus notes like tangerine and a sweetness like honey.
