Instead of hiding behind closed doors, we’re open about how we care for the living and the dead. We’re by your side every step of the way, creating a funeral that works for you. We're based in Tooting, South London and provide funeral services throughout Greater London. We also regularly help families across the South East and beyond. At Poppy's, we believe in looking after you, the person who's died and the planet in the best way possible. We believe that great care for both the living and the dead can transform your experience. Our team will offer you meaningful choice and transparency, supporting you to make the decisions that are right for you. Respect for the environment is very important to us, with a range of sustainable choices available and a commitment to minimising our own environmental impact. Above all else, we’ll give you honest, straightforward advice and support you every step of the way. You can reach us anytime between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday (except Thursdays, where we open at 9:30am). Our collections team are available 7 days a week, between 8am and 8pm. If you are calling after 8pm, please leave your name, number and any info you feel we should know. We will call you back in the morning to arrange bringing the person who has died into our care.

🔔 Reminder - our next Open Afternoon is next Wednesday 14 October!

Funerals have historically been kept firmly behind closed doors.

This means that, when someone dies, we often don’t know how to go about arranging a funeral, or, even more importantly, how our person will be cared for. When it matters most, we are left with a lot of questions and uncertainty.

It doesn’t have to be this way. At Poppy’s we believe in a fresh approach to funerals, which is why we love welcoming visitors to our free Open Afternoons.

Visitors receive a tour of our beautiful, light-filled mortuary in Tooting, South London, learn about our gentle, natural approach to looking after the dead and have the opportunity to ask our team their questions.

If you want to know more about what happens when we die, join us for our next Open Afternoon. We only run these events twice a year, do join us if you can.

Not to us it doesn't! Not only does the team hugely appreciate when someone leaves a review (we have over four hundred five-star reviews on Google), but reviews also play a role in making the whole funeral sector more transparent.

We advise people to check the Google Reviews of any funeral directors they are considering appointing, because past clients will often share what really made the difference to them. This will vary depending on the person and their priorities, which can help you to understand if they are the right funeral directors for you.

Many of us have never had embalming explained to us: this is true even for those of us who have arranged a funeral, and the person has been embalmed as part of this process.

This is because many funeral directors embalm as standard. But how can we make informed choices about something we don't understand?

What matters most to Poppy's is that clients understand their options and make the choice that's right for them.

When considering a funeral director, ask them what their approach to death care is, whether they embalm as standard and what this means for your person. This will allow you to understand your options and make the choice that is right for you.

It was a full house at Poppy's Raynes Park last week for our film screening as part of the Raynes Park Free Film Festival. 📽️

Once the office was closed for the day, we welcomed members of the local community in for an evening viewing of the Oscar-nominated film Minari.

Every seat was filled - we're sorry to those we had to turn away!

We love welcoming residents and fellow businesses in to our bright, friendly shop spaces in Raynes Park and Sheen. If you have an idea for a community event, please do get in touch with us to see if we can support.
