👏 **A big thank you to our amazing Portcullis Surgery team aswell as the Emergency Services Fire, Police and Ambulance for their assistance yesterday!👏
We would like to take a moment to thank all our staff for their professionalism, teamwork and calm response during a particularly busy Flu and COVID vaccination clinic on Saturday where we vaccinated in excess of 1500 of our patients.
During the session, a road traffic collision (RTC) occurred in the Galdeford car park just outside our surgery involving two patients. Despite the clinic already being extremely busy, our team responded quickly and professionally, making sure those involved were assessed and supported appropriately.
We are delighted to receive this lovely feedback from James Davies, a Critical Care Paramedic and Associate Mentor at the Hereford Hub, who was present at the time:
“Highly impressed by the response given to your patients on a busy OOH vaccination session day despite it occurring outside of the surgery grounds itself.”
He also specifically asked us to pass on his thanks to our car park volunteer, Mr Andy Wilding, who did a fantastic job assisting at the scene.
It is easy to take these things for granted, but moments like this really demonstrate the care, professionalism and teamwork of our whole Portcullis team. ❤️
We would also like to thank the paramedics, policemen and fire service for their fantastic response.
Thankyou to everyone who helped — from the clinical team to our reception, administration and car park volunteers. We are very proud of you all. 👏
And finally, our best wishes to the two people involved in the RTC for a speedy recovery.
