Happy Bank Holiday from everyone at Pilgrims Way! 💙

We hope you’ve all had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend, filled with plenty of smiles, laughter and special moments. 🥰

There’s certainly been lots of fun had here at Pilgrims Way over the weekend, and it’s been lovely seeing everyone enjoying themselves! 🎉💛

A huge thank you to all of our amazing staff who give up their weekends, Bank Holidays and special occasions to be here, making sure our residents are cared for, supported and surrounded by smiles. Your kindness, dedication and hard work never go unnoticed, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you do. 💐❤️

And just like that, August is coming to an end… 🍂

Let the September fun begin tomorrow! 🎉🍁 We’ve got lots more smiles, laughter and lovely memories to look forward to at Pilgrims Way.

Fire Safety Training in Action! 🔥

Our whole home has been practising fire evacuation procedures as part of our essential fire safety training and regulatory requirements this week.

We’d like to apologise to any visitors who found themselves having to carefully step around us on the stairs while our training was taking place! 😅 Thank you for your patience and understanding.

While these exercises can cause a little temporary disruption, they are vitally important. Every member of staff needs to know exactly what to do in the event of a fire or emergency, including how to evacuate safely, calmly and effectively while supporting everyone in our home.

Regular training and practice help make sure our team is prepared, confident and able to respond quickly when it really matters.

🇪🇸💃 Viva España at Pilgrims Way Nursing Home! 💃🇪🇸

What a fantastic time we had for our Spanish Themed Day! ❤️💛

Our amazing chef Kala treated everyone to a delicious Spanish-inspired menu, with plenty for all to enjoy. 👩‍🍳🥘

The fun didn’t stop there! We had lots of laughs with piñata fun and games, Spanish-themed music filling the home, and of course, our wonderful staff couldn’t resist joining in with the festivities too! 🎶💃🪅

A lovely day full of great food, music, laughter and smiles, bringing a little taste of Spain to Pilgrims Way! 🇪🇸☀️

Our next stop is Italy… Watch this space!

🌟 What’s Happening at Pilgrims Ways This Week! 🌟

💬 Archie’s 1-to-1 visits on Tuesday & Thursday
Our regular visits from Archie are always something to look forward to! These wonderful 1-to-1 sessions are particularly valuable for residents who choose to spend more time in their rooms. They provide a chance to reminisce, chat about the things that interest them, share memories and enjoy some meaningful one-to-one interaction. ❤️

🇪🇸 Wednesday is our Amazing Spanish Day! 🇪🇸
We’re looking forward to bringing a taste of Spain into the home with lots of fun, culture and, of course, plenty of opportunities to join in!

🎶 Weekly Sing-Along
Our sing-along is another favourite! Music brings so much happiness into the home, and it’s wonderful to see everyone joining in, having fun and enjoying those familiar songs and memories together. 🎵😊

💅 Hand & Nail Massages
A little pampering goes a long way! Residents can enjoy relaxing hand and nail massages this week, the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy some gentle self-care. 💕

🎭 Notting Hill Carnival Craft & Mask Making
We’ll also be getting creative with some fun carnival-inspired crafts and mask making! 🎨🎭 Notting Hill Carnival is an event that some of our residents have wonderful memories of attending, so we’re looking forward to sharing stories, reminiscing and creating something colourful together.

Here’s to another week filled with music, memories, creativity, conversation and connection! 🌈✨

Our residents at Pilgrim’s Way love a game or two! Whether it’s enjoying a little friendly competition, getting stuck into a jigsaw puzzle, or showing off their creative side with crafts such as necklace making, there’s always something fun going on. 💕

☀️ Hot & bothered? We certainly were! 🥵

With the heat getting to everyone, we decided a chilled-out afternoon was definitely in order! 🍓🍉🍇 We tucked into some lovely fresh fruit platters, enjoyed a glass (or two!) of zero-alcohol fizz 🥂✨ and settled down for a relaxing afternoon of arts and crafts. 🎨✂️

A perfect way to keep cool, unwind and enjoy some quality time together, this was made even lovelier with the wonderful Honor hosting 💕🌸

Sometimes the simplest afternoons are just the best! 🥰

🌍Introducing Themed Days at Pilgrims Way Nursing Home!🌍

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be bringing a little taste of the world to Pilgrims Way Nursing Home with our brand-new monthly Themed Days! 🎉

We’re kicking things off with 🇪🇸 Spanish Day 🇪🇸

Our themed days are all about our residents having fun, trying something new and creating wonderful memories together. We will enjoy delicious cuisine from around the world, take part in themed activities, enjoy music, culture and, of course, have lots of fun along the way! 💃🎶🍴

And this is just the beginning… 👀

🇮🇹 Italian Day is coming up next, followed by 🇬🇷 Greek Day with plenty more exciting themes to come!

We can’t wait to share the fun, laughter and memories with you. ❤️

A Very Special Invitation!

What a lovely surprise it was for our residents to receive some very special invitations in the post from the children at Blue Sky Day Nursery & Pre-School, inviting us to their wonderful Scarecrow’s Wedding! 👰‍♀️🤵‍♂️🌾

The children have been busy planning this fantastic activity at nursery, and our residents were absolutely thrilled to receive their invitations. It certainly brought plenty of smiles and excitement to our home! 💛

The children from Blue Sky bring so much happiness whenever they visit and have formed such wonderful bonds with our residents. These intergenerational friendships are incredibly special to see and create so many precious moments for everyone involved. 🥰

We hope the children have the most magical time celebrating their Scarecrow’s Wedding, and we can’t wait to welcome them back to our home very soon!

Thank you for thinking of us and for making our residents feel so special. 🌻💌
