A fantastic morning at our Blue Light Breakfast! We were delighted to welcome Ashfield MP Lee Anderson to Lowmoor Nursing Home as we celebrated and thanked our local Blue Light Card holders for their dedication and service.

It's wonderful to see such strong community support for this initiative, and we look forward to hosting many more events like this in the future.

It was great to visit Lowmoor Nursing Home in Kirkby in Ashfield this morning.

It was lovely to meet the Management and Directors of this great local facility.

Every 6 months they run a free Blue Light Breakfast for Blue Light Workers.

This is great event and a chance to chat to other blue light workers.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting local blue light workers and the main topic of conversation was.... football!

Dementia Action Week 2026 begins with Virtual Dementia Tour💙

On Monday, Newgate Lodge welcomed the Virtual Dementia Tour where throughout the day, our staff and visitors took part in an immersive experience designed to provide a deeper understanding of what living with dementia can feel like.

The experience was both powerful and thought-provoking, helping to build empathy, awareness, and understanding — all essential in delivering compassionate, person-centred care.

This free, immersive experience is designed to help caregivers, families and the wider community better understand the daily challenges of living with dementia.
