Isolation in cancer care is a widespread and deeply impactful experience, making patients and their families and friends, feel lonely, misunderstood or disconnected from others.



In Millom, we are geographically isolated and our nearest support that focuses on cancer is Barrow and Ulverston.



At Waterloo House we have been keen to offer support in the community and are excited to announce a new Cancer Support Group , held every Thursday afternoon 1:30-3pm at the Baptist church and open to everyone in the Millom and surrounding area. We hope that people who are, or have been affected by cancer, will come along and support the group and others in our community.
