Important update on getting a bus to the community diagnostic centre

Thank you to everyone who used the trial MediLinc (ML1) bus service to Lincoln Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC).

From Monday 2 November 2026, this will be replaced by the 48 and 49 services, operated by P.C. Coaches.

P.C. Coaches has agreed to divert these two existing services to include the loop around Ruston Way, Poplar Avenue and Beevor Street.

The new 48 and 49 routes will provide an hourly connection from early morning into the evening, six days a week. This is longer operating hours and an additional day of service compared to the trial ML1 service.

The 48 and 49 services will run Monday to Saturday, excluding Bank Holidays, with the buses serving Lincoln, North Hykeham, Thorpe on the Hill, Witham St Hughs and Bassingham.

Both services stop at Lincoln Central Bus Station (stand N), for easy onward connection to other bus and rail services.

🎉 We're delighted to share the outcome of our recent CQC inspection 🎉

Following our recent inspection in August, we are pleased that the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has awarded GOOD ratings across all five key areas of inspection: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led, resulting in an overall rating of GOOD. The report also recognises the significant improvements made since our previous inspection.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our staff and management team whose hard work, resilience and focus on delivering the best possible care for our patients made this result possible. The report highlights our positive culture, supportive leadership, commitment to learning and development, and the high standards of care provided to our patients.

We are also grateful to our patients, Patient Participation Group, and our wider community for their feedback, support and continued trust in us. The inspection recognised the many positive experiences reported by patients and the strong relationships we have built across our local community.

While we are proud of this outcome, we know that there is always room for improvement. The report identified some areas where we can do better, including aspects of patient access and a small number of operational issues that have already been addressed or are being actively worked on. We welcome this feedback and remain committed to continuously improving our services and the experience we provide to our patients.

Thank you once again to everyone who has contributed to this achievement.

We have a new member of staff at Nettleham surgery!

We found this little guy in our porch. Even though we've managed to remove him (without touching him!), he seems insistent on entering the practice building.

Please do be careful if you're driving and please try and not let him in through the doors when entering the surgery!

Please include our practice code C83031 as you will be required to enter this as the mandatory ‘Voucher code’. You will also need to enter their NHS number to request a self-swab kit - you can find this on any hospital letter or the NHS app. The website will check you're eligible based on its screening questions.

There is no upper or lower age limit but we do ask you limit it to one kit per household.

This is an ongoing programme, so save these details in case you get a winter bug later on!
