Please see a message from Reading Leisure Centres if you or anyone you may know who would be interested, wish to take part in their National Sports Open Weekend which is a free event, taking place on Saturday 18th July and Sunday 19th July:
Weβre delighted to invite you to take part in Better Reading's National Sports Open Weekend, taking place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July across our Reading leisure centres.
In partnership with Team England, we're opening our doors for a weekend of free sports activities, taster sessions and family-friendly experiences designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to get active and try something new.
What's on?
β’ Free gym taster sessions for adults and juniors
β’ Free HIIT, Boxfit and Strength & Conditioning classes
β’ Free Beginner and improver adult swimming lessons
β’ Free Foundation Swim School & Water Safety sessions
β’ Free Thames Valley Pro Taekwondo and Reading Rockets Basketball taster sessions
β’ Free Diving displays and dry dive taster sessions with Albatross Diving Club
β’ Free Velodrome cycling drop-in sessions
β’ Many more activities taking place across the weekend at all centres (Rivermead Leisure Centre, South Reading Leisure Centre, Meadway Sports Centre and Palmer Park Sports Stadium)

The weekend is open to everyone - participants need to create a free Better account before attending.
