I normally let things go, but comparing childbirth and labour to a few uncomfortable nights in a chair is exactly why some mums feel dismissed. My husband’s post was about gratitude, not competition. Appreciating mothers doesn’t take anything away from fathers. Appreciation isn’t pie, giving someone a slice doesn’t leave less for everyone else.

Lastly, yung may gigil, A good husband doesn’t need a special day to appreciate his wife, and a good wife doesn’t need one to appreciate her husband. We celebrate each other all year round. Father’s Day was simply another opportunity to say thank you.
