The older I get, the more I’m investing in protecting my health

I’ve become much more conscious of the way I take care of my body and not just the way I look but the way I feel

My morning routine includes a shot from

✅ Antioxidant support – Curcumin acts as an antioxidant, helping to protect cells from oxidative stress.

Injecting a cardio element into the barre workout by performing ballet jumps🔥

These are sautés – explosive jumps that take the BarreConcept workout to a whole new level.

This HIIT-style section challenges power, endurance, coordination, and strength, all while maintaining correct technique
Not for the faint-hearted. 🩰⚡

One of the most valuable skills a Barre instructor can develop is the art of tactile cueing.

Hands-on correction isn’t just about adjusting alignment and improving technique - although that’s important. By helping clients find better positioning, we improve movement quality, enhance body awareness, and reduce the risk of injury.

But there’s another side to tactile cueing that can get overlooked.

Even when a client’s form is already excellent, a gentle hands-on check can provide reassurance, confidence, and connection. It lets them know they’ve been seen, supported, and guided throughout the class.

Small moments of individual attention can make a big difference. A simple adjustment, a word of encouragement, or confirming that someone is in the correct position helps build trust, rapport, and confidence in the movement and the instructor.

People don’t just remember how a class made them feel physically, they remember how it made them feel personally.

Monkey 🐒

A deceptively challenging exercise that combines mobility, flexibility and strength.

✔️ Hamstring flexibility✔️ Ankle, knee and hip mobility✔️ Calf strength and length✔️ Core stability✔️ Scapular stability

One exercise. So many benefits.

✨ GLOW TONIC ✨

This is how I start every morning.

My simple homemade Glow Tonic contains:

🍋 Juice of 1 freshly squeezed lemon🍎 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar💧 Hot water🍯 Manuka honey⚡️ Electrolyte salts

It’s become part of my daily ritual before the coffee, emails and meetings begin.

Sometimes the simplest habits are the ones that make the biggest difference.

Starting my day with my homemade Yogi Tea - my golden glow juice☕✨

Slow-cooked with:• 40 cardamom pods• 30 cloves• 40 Tellicherry black peppercorns• White tea

I let it gently infuse for hours to create a rich, warming brew that’s become part of my morning ritual.

To serve, I add freshly grated ginger and a spoonful of Manuka honey for a little extra warmth and sweetness.

The perfect way to ease into the day before the emails, meetings and to-do lists begin. 🌿

What’s your non-negotiable morning ritual?
