🎉 We celebrated a very special 90th birthday for our aviation enthusiast with a memorable trip to Wycombe Air Park, followed by an afternoon tea spent sharing stories and reminiscing over photographs and happy memories.

A huge thank you to Mark, Emma and Simon at Heli-air, Wycombe Air Field for their warm welcome, fascinating tour, and for helping make the day so special. 🚁🌟

☀️ Finding creative ways to keep cool over the bank holiday weekend.

We enjoyed hook-a-duck and other outdoor games, dipped our feet in the paddling pool, shared poetry in the garden, and finished with African-inspired painting to celebrate Africa Day yesterday. 💦🎨

💅Ending the week with some pampering, a trip to the market, and keeping ourselves cool inside and outside the home with refreshing drinks and garden walks.🍹🌿

💚 This week, we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Week with a range of activities focused on wellbeing, creativity and connection.

Residents enjoyed making fresh lemonade, writing appreciation cards, flower arranging, garden walks, mindful colouring, fairy jar making and sweet tasting, as well as reiki sessions for a truly calming experience. We also created a special card for our wonderful district nurses in recognition of International Nurses Day and ended the week with a live violin performance.

A lovely reminder that joy, connection and a little self-care go a long way. 🎨🎶🍋💚

Taking time to reflect over the last few days at Cherry Tree House, starting with an afternoon tea celebration for VE Day on Friday and updates to our legacy journals over the weekend. Followed by fun together painting and playing board games, before ending on a louder note with karaoke!

☀️ What a wonderful day we’ve had!

This morning, we visited Lindengate Charity to learn more about the amazing work they do to support mental and physical wellbeing in the community. We got first-hand experience exploring the beautiful gardens in the sunshine. A huge thank you to everyone at Lindengate for making us feel so welcome. We are already looking forward to our next visit. 🌱🌹

Later in the afternoon, we spent time with our friends from Little Ferns Wendover, enjoying some yoga together before getting creative with caterpillar finger painting. 🐛🎨
