There is something about a treatment that just works! Over the years I have tried many different treatments, some are better than others.

Nowadays I stick to the classics that deliver good results, backed up by science.

Let's talk about the bit people don't always say out loud:

Sometimes it's not the treatment you're nervous about.

It's what everyone else is going to think.

Your partner.
Your mum.
Your friends.
The person at work who notices everything. đź‘€

You might be worried they'll say:

"You didn't need that."
"Why would you do that?"
"I can tell you've had something done."

But ultimately, it's your face and your decision.

You don't have to convince anyone else.

And you don't need to walk into my clinic knowing exactly what you want either.

Come and have a conversation. Tell me what you're thinking and what you're worried about.

No pressure. No judgement. Just an honest conversation.

DM me "CONSULT" if you've been thinking about it.

Are you making one of these skincare mistakes? đź‘€

Sometimes it's not about buying more products. It's about avoiding the things that are holding your skin back.

Here are five mistakes I see all the time:

✨ Sleeping in your make-up.
✨ Skipping SPF because it's cloudy.
✨ Using too many active ingredients at once.
✨ Changing products every couple of weeks because you don't see instant results.
✨ Copying someone else's skincare routine instead of using products suited to your skin.

Healthy skin comes from consistency, not chasing every new trend.

If you're not sure where to start, or your current routine just isn't working, send me a DM with SKIN and I'll help point you in the right direction.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR PATIENTS FACE

If you ever walk into a clinic and feel like you have to commit to a treatment or suddenly feel bad about yourself, run. This is supposed to be a nice experience making you feel good in your own skin.

Not bullying you into treatments that you likely don't need

If you ever had an encounter like this, DM me and I am happy to give you honest advice with no pressure

I know there are people who have followed my page for months, maybe even years, quietly saving posts, watching stories and thinking, "One day I'll book."

If that's you, I just want you to know that it's completely normal to have questions.

Most of my clients felt exactly the same before they walked through my door.

My consultations are all about listening, understanding your concerns and giving honest advice. There's never any pressure to book a treatment that's not right for you.

If you've been thinking about it for a while, maybe this is your reminder to stop putting yourself at the bottom of the list.

I'd love to help.

DM me CONSULT or use the link in my bio to book your consultation.

Not all collagen is equal

When it comes to collagen supplements, it’s not simply about finding the one with the biggest number on the label.

The collagen molecule itself is huge, so for supplementation we generally look at hydrolysed collagen peptides, smaller fragments that are easier to digest and absorb.

And this is where things get interesting…

Beauty Focus Collagen+ uses Bioactive Collagen Peptides with an average molecular weight of around 2.0 kDa, alongside a specific peptide profile or “fingerprint.” The manufacturer says the controlled hydrolysis process is designed to produce this particular peptide distribution.

But here's what I want you to look for when choosing a collagen:

🔎 Is it hydrolysed?
Smaller peptides are generally more suitable for absorption than intact collagen.

🔎 What is the molecular weight?
You’ll often see collagen marketed as “low molecular weight.” Don't just take the phrase at face value — look for actual information about the peptide size/profile.

🔎 Is there human research on THAT specific collagen ingredient?
This is important. You can't automatically assume that because one collagen peptide has clinical evidence, every collagen powder will produce the same results.

🔎 How much are you actually getting?
Beauty Focus Collagen+ currently provides 2,500 mg of collagen hydrolysate per sachet, plus lutein and wheat-derived phytoceramides.

And one of the things I find particularly interesting about Beauty Focus isn't simply the 2.5 g it's the emphasis on the specific peptide profile, rather than treating all collagen peptides as interchangeable.

That doesn't mean collagen is a magic potion.

It means the source, hydrolysis, peptide profile, dose and clinical evidence all matter.

So next time you see:

“COLLAGEN! 10,000 mg! ✨”

Don't immediately assume bigger number = better.

Read the label.
Look at the science.
And remember collagen isn't just collagen.
