Happy 100th Birthday, Annie

Today, we honour and celebrate Annie’s 100th birthday with love and remembrance. Although she is no longer with us, her family wished for this milestone to be marked in the special way she had been looking forward to.

We are humbled to share that we have collected a staggering 118 birthday cards in her honour. Her family have now collected them and have asked us to pass on their heartfelt thanks to every single person who took the time to write a card. Your kindness has brought them great comfort.

They shared that they will be opening the cards together while watching her favourite John Wayne film, The Quiet Man — a beautiful way to celebrate her life and the joy she brought to so many.

We cannot thank our community enough for your generosity, compassion, and support. A special thank you also goes to the local nurseries and youth clubs who contributed with such care. Your involvement has meant the world to Annie’s family and to all of us here at Boars Tye House.
