Headway service users - We’re delighted to share details of a lovely upcoming workshop at The Hunt Museum in Limerick! 💙

🌿 Scent & Memory Workshop at The Hunt Museum
Tuesday, 15 September
2:00pm – 3:30pm
The Hunt Museum – Captains’ Room

Scent has a unique ability to take us straight back to a special moment, person or place. During this interactive workshop, participants will explore a range of different smells, unlocking memories and sparking stories and connections along the way.

The workshop will be led by Tasha Marks of AVM Curiosities and is part of the Hunt Museum’s “Making Scents of the Collection” project, supported by the Heritage Council’s Community Heritage Grant Scheme.

A wonderful opportunity to explore memories, share stories and connect with others through the power of scent.

A group of our Men's Shed participants were welcomed to nearby Down Syndrome Ireland Field of Dreams facility yesterday, where Debbie kindly gave us a full tour and generously shared her time, knowledge, and advice.

It was a fantastic visit, and everyone came away really inspired by what they have achieved there.

Remember you need to leave a minimum of 1.8 m of clear width on the pavement (that’s nearly 6 ft) so people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids can move around without being blocked.

Headway has been awarded a Cork City Council Arts Office Artist and Community Award 2026 — a huge thanks to the work of our former colleague Carolyn. We've embarked on a 6-month creative project with artist and educator Dominic Fee, in collaboration with Cork Public Museum, Ballyphehane Community Centre, and Cork Printmakers.

Three weeks in and already full of creativity, connection & craic.

Massive congratulations to the incredible Headway Harriers who took on the Great Limerick Run with determination, heart, and plenty of team spirit! From the first stride to the finish line, this group showed what it truly means to run for a cause.
