"Double chin, jowl sagging... is that extra weight or are you just getting old?

Not necessarily! Very often, the real root cause lies in deep fascial restrictions and tightness in the sternocleidomastoid (SCM) muscles, along with the platysma. These key neck muscles can get heavily glued and practically fused down to the bone structure.

Add a tight TMJ (jaw tension) into the mix—which so many of us carry daily—and it frequently leads to a heavy, squared jawline and massive underlying holding patterns.

Combine all this and you get a 'tent effect'. Because the tissue is tightly stuck and restricted, the skin and soft tissue above have no proper support; they get dragged down, creating that stubborn double chin and sagging look.
