Physiotherapy helps stroke patients!!

Here are a few ways how:

✅ Improve muscle strength and movement
✅ Regain balance and coordination
✅ Retrain walking and functional movements
✅ Reduce stiffness and prevent complications
✅ Improve mobility and independence in daily activities
✅ Build confidence and participation in everyday life

Every stroke is different, and so is every recovery.

A physiotherapist assesses each person’s abilities and challenges, then develops an individualized rehabilitation plan focused on meaningful goals.

Recovery takes time, patience, and consistency. Small improvements can lead to big changes in independence.

Move. Recover. Regain your independence.

ARE YOU READY TO GET MOVING? 🕺🏽

Join us for our 7-Day Heart Movement Challenge and make movement a priority for your heart, body, and overall health!

For the next 7 days, we’re challenging YOU to complete one simple activity each day:

Day 1: Take a 10-minute walk
Day 2: Take the stairs instead of the elevator
Day 3: Do 10 minutes of active stretching
Day 4: Walk during your lunch break
Day 5: Perform a simple balance exercise
Day 6: Take a family walk
Day 7: Complete 20 to 30 minutes of physical activity

📸 Show us how you’re moving! Take a photo, check off your daily activity, and share your progress throughout the week.

Small changes can help build healthier habits, and every bit of movement counts. ❤️

Don’t just count your steps. Make your steps count.

Last week we had the pleasure of speaking on a topic we are very passionate about!

Diastasis Recti Abdominis is a common condition that happens with pregnancy but this doesn’t mean you have to live with the effects of it.

Seeing a women’s health physiotherapist can greatly reduce the impacts from having an unhealed DRA.

It is so much more than just “closing the gap”.

Your body needs this area restrengthened appropriately for normal functions.

Don’t forget that for the entire month of August we are having FREE SCREENS for all those who think they might have DRA or want their C-SECTION SCARS assessed.

Comment SCREEN and we’ll contact you and get you booked in for yours!

She stole my look!

C-section shelfing isn’t always caused by the scar

It may be linked to reduced core strength, abdominal bulging, weak or separated abdominal muscles and difficulty generating pressure during everyday movements.

At PT by PT clinic, we help you to navigate your way through recovery no matter what stage you’re at. It’s never too late to start your rehab! Give us a call, text or message today!

Not all diastasis recti look the same!

One mum may have a tummy that still looks pregnant months after giving birth. Another may have a flat stomach but a noticeable gap between her abdominal muscles.

Same diagnosis but different presentation

That’s because diastasis recti isn’t just about the width of the gap.

We also assess tissue tension, core function, breathing, pressure management, posture, and symptoms.

This is why treatment should NEVER be one-size-fits-all.

During Diastasis Recti Awareness Month, let’s stop focusing only on the gap and start focusing on function.

Every abdominal wall tells a different story

Book a comprehensive assessment to understand what’s happening in your body and get a treatment plan designed specifically for you.

Reception: “…Hello?”

We promise the treatment table doesn’t bite!!

Us: “At this point, are we in a long-distance relationship?” 😂

Don’t worry, we’ll keep your spot warm… but we’d much rather see you than miss you.

How long have you been telling yourself, “It’s probably normal”?

Pelvic heaviness, pressure, a bulge, or leaking urine are common, but they are not something you have to live with!

The sooner prolapse is assessed, the more treatment options you may have and the sooner you can get back to living with confidence

At PT by PT Clinic, we help women understand what’s happening, take control of their symptoms, and get back to doing the things they love without fear or discomfort

Your pelvic floor deserves the same care as every other part of your body
