Exciting news! 🎉

Manukau City Medical Centre and Mekala Medical Centre have merged and are now Local Doctors Manukau!

This means Manukau patients now access a wider range of healthcare services, not only at their clinic but nationally, with the entire Local Doctors and White Cross urgent care network, plus Bettr 24/7 online care available to them, all at the enrolled patient price. One enrolment unlocks access to all.

To celebrate this exciting new chapter, we held a traditional blessing at the clinic, a lovely moment for the team to come together and welcome the future with good intentions 💙

You'll notice new signage outside the clinic, easy to spot from the street, but the same team inside, same familiar faces the Manukau patients already know.

Flu vaccines are now free for children under 5 💙

From 1 September, all children aged 6 months to under 5 years are eligible for a funded flu vaccine.

Flu is making many young children sick this year, and the flu season may continue for longer than usual. It’s not too late to protect your little one.

If your child is eligible, book their flu vaccination with us today.

A quick note: children under 4 having their flu vaccine for the first time may need two doses, at least four weeks apart.

When we talk about community and the power of coming together, this is exactly what we mean 💙

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the MBST Community Connect Event at Ōtara Town Centre last Friday. It was incredible to see so many people coming together to connect, learn, move, laugh, and support one another.

A special shout-out to our Community Manager, Li'amanaia Kaisara , who helped bring the event to life and kept the energy flowing as MC, along with our amazing Ola Manuia team who got everyone moving with Zumba. We were also grateful to have our partners from Auckland Cricket join us, sharing bats and balls with local tamariki through the BatFirst Initiative and helping make the day even more memorable.

Throughout the morning, our teams connected with so many whānau, completing health checks, having meaningful conversations, and supporting people on their wellbeing journeys. Most importantly, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and new connections made along the way.

Thank you to our dedicated teams, community partners, and everyone who stopped by. Days like these remind us that when we come together, we create stronger, healthier, and more connected communities. 🌿✨
