Last month’s Flow on Effect recipient was FASD-CAN NZ 💛

FASD-CAN is a grassroots organisation supporting individuals and whānau impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) across Aotearoa. They provide advocacy, education, connection, and practical support for families, often navigating incredibly complex challenges with very little understanding or support around them.

One thing that really stood out to us is their focus on compassion and seeing the person beyond the behaviour. Creating more awareness, understanding, and acceptance can make such a huge difference for families and individuals living with FASD.

As parents ourselves, we know how important it is for people to feel supported, not judged.

Every month through Flow on Effect, we donate $500 to organisations helping create a healthier, more connected Aotearoa, and we’re really honoured to support the work FASD-CAN is doing. 🌿

Fair question - we get asked so often.

No, these aren’t that kind of mushrooms. We’re talking functional mushrooms like Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Turkey Tail and Cordyceps. The kinds people use to support focus, calm, energy and everyday wellbeing.

No trips or seeing mystical images here - but some of our customers do report some pretty magical life improvements.

This month, our Flow on Effect is going to the Heretaunga Women’s Centre, in the Hawke’s Bay 🤍

It’s a special, welcoming space dedicated to providing essential support to wahine.

They’re doing incredible work supporting wahine across the Hawke’s Bay through five core pillars:
• Women’s Health & Wellness
• Personal Growth
• Mentorship
• Connection, and
• Advocacy.

Their words really stayed with me:
“Whatever you’ve been through, whatever you’re dealing with now, we’ll meet you where you are and find you the support needed to get you working towards the life you want.”
