Dear Patients,
We wish to advise that the level of unpaid patient accounts at the clinic has continued to increase and is becoming increasingly difficult to manage.
As a result, we are currently reviewing our billing processes and may need to introduce a Prepayment Policy in the future if there is no improvement in outstanding account payments.
If implemented, this policy would require prepayment for chargeable services, including but not limited to:
Doctor consultations (in-person, telephone, and video)
Nurse consultations
Prescriptions and repeat prescriptions
Vaccinations and immunisations
Procedures and treatments
Medical certificates
Completion of forms and reports
Diagnostic tests and other clinical services
Administrative services where a fee applies
This policy would apply to all patients.
Patients with outstanding balances would be required to settle overdue accounts in full before further non-urgent services could be provided.
Please note that urgent medical care will always be provided where immediate treatment is clinically required.
We are sharing this notice in advance so patients are aware of the situation. We value our relationship with our community and hope that this measure will not be necessary. However, it may be introduced if the current situation does not improve.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
