In 1844, Mr Tan Tock Seng make a donation to build the first hospital for the poor. His vision was for the hospital to care for the “sick poor of all nations”, ensuring that those in need could receive care regardless of background or circumstance.

That same spirit of compassion continues today through TTSH Community Fund. Every donation helps us support patients whose needs go beyond hospital care, from medical equipment and consumables to rehabilitation and other essential support.

As we mark Founder’s Day, we honour a legacy that lives on through every act of giving. Be part of this legacy. Give here: for.sg/givingspark

Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) turns 182 this year.

For 182 years, TTSH has cared for generations of people. To mark this meaningful milestone, we invite our TTSH family and supporters to come together in a simple act of giving — because every contribution counts.

Give $18 or $182 to support our needy patients with out-of-pocket expenses, and help make their care journey a little lighter.

Together, we can be a community that cares beyond cures.

For Mr Choo, giving back is a way of honouring his late mother’s legacy.

Despite the hardships she faced, including holding three jobs at times to support the family, his mother continued to support and help others in need, giving generously in her own way.

When she was later cared for at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Mr Choo was touched by the professionalism, dedication and compassion shown to her. Today, he continues her legacy by supporting patients in need.

“My contributions aim to provide similar support to the caregivers at TTSH who dedicate their lives to patient care and support the patients in need. I hope to inspire others touched by similar experiences to contribute to this cycle of giving.”

Inspired by his story? You can help make a difference too.

What does home mean to you?

For many of our patients, getting home is the goal they work towards every day. For Mr Mohamda, it means breathing easier, moving freely and seeing the people he loves.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, he received a CPAP machine and a mobility scooter. Today he manages at home, meeting family and friends.

Small things. Big difference. 💛

Sometimes life surprises us in ways we never expected.

Gary's story is one of them. And somewhere along the way, we got to be a small part of it.

The Giving Spark campaign supports our General Needy Patients Fund, helping patients like Gary with the things that often go unnoticed. Essential medical equipment, interim dialysis, transport and post-discharge care. So that the road to recovery feels a little less daunting.

Here is how you can be part of someone's story too: for.sg/givingspark.
