POSTNATAL RECOVERY | PART 2 đź’™
One of the first things new mums wonder about after birth: “How do I actually wash my v***a?”

In Part 2 of our postnatal recovery series, Tamara, our pelvic health physiotherapist, demonstrates how to use a peri bottle to gently cleanse the v***a after birth, especially when the area is tender, swollen, or healing from stitches.

📌A peri bottle can help:
• Gently rinse without rubbing or wiping
• Reduce discomfort when passing urine
• Keep the area clean while your tissues heal
• Make those first days postpartum feel a little more manageable

Remember: your postpartum body doesn’t need to be “fixed” it needs support, patience and time to heal.

Save this for your postpartum recovery toolkit and share it with a new or expecting mum who needs to see it. đź’™

đź’™ Monica and Tamara came from the public sector, the NHS in the UK and the Royal Hospital for Women in Sydney.

They were trained in an environment where care was for everyone, regardless of what they could afford. Building Physio Down Under has been one of the most rewarding journeys of their lives, but they never stopped missing that part of their work, being able to reach the women who needed them the most, not just those who could access private care.

What they lacked was the evidence to make the case for funding. That’s where Lyn Sia Rosmarin Lyn Sia Rosmarin and the Pandan Initiative Social Innovation came in.
With extraordinary patience and dedication, Lyn has been working alongside them to build a verified, credible SROI framework, one that can show funders the real value of what pelvic health intervention creates. It is the foundation we need to open a low-cost pelvic health clinic in Singapore and extend care to all who need it, not just to those who can afford it.
