Registration is officially OPEN for the next Uncovering Birth Childbirth Education cohort!

If you're expecting a baby and looking for more than a hospital class, this course was created for you.

Birth is not just a day.

It's a transformation.

Over eight weeks, you'll learn the physiology of birth, comfort measures, informed consent, partner support, movement, nutrition, postpartum planning, newborn procedures, and so much more.

But beyond the information, you'll gain confidence.

You'll learn how to navigate decisions, trust your body, communicate with your care team, and prepare for birth as a family.

One of my favorite things about this course is that partners are involved every step of the way. Birth is not something you do alone. When both parents are prepared, supported, and informed, everything changes.

More than one of you have asked if I see big people too... AKA moms, dads, and adults.

I sure do.

Each one of us could probably say we're busy. Pushing hard. Overwhelmed. Overstimulated. Overcommitted. XYZ... you get the picture.

Yes—to all of this!

As a midwife, I’m not here to funnel you into a specific decision. My goal is to offer options, clearly explain benefits and risks, and honor your choices throughout your pregnancy and birth.

I believe every woman deserves access to respectful care, no matter the type of birth she needs or chooses.

And during birth, a woman should always have the right to say no to anything she is uncomfortable with—and have that choice fully respected.

Some standard things when receiving care through Earthside:

- We ask permission before doing anything
-You always have the right to say NO
- You can always change you mind and choose a different option
-support for your birthing goals
- you can eat and drink during labor
- you can move about as desired
- you can use a birth pool for labor and birth
- you can transfer to a hospital if you desite to (or if it's medically needed)
- your team will be ready with the needed skills and equipment for complications (or transfer to a hospital when needed)
- we have equipment to monitor vitals, IVs, fluids, medications for bleeding, antibiotics, suturing equipment, ECT available for the times they are needed or desired.
