Summer is here, and so is a growing need for blood donors. 💖

Blood centers across the region are experiencing lower donation levels while hospital needs continue to climb. Some blood types, especially O-negative and A-negative, are becoming harder to keep on hand.

As healthcare workers, we see firsthand how vital a stable blood supply is for emergency care, surgeries, and patients in need.

Last night’s Memorial Butterfly Release was a success!

Thank you to everyone who contributed and showed support for this meaningful event. Because of your generosity, we were able to sell 158 butterflies and raise nearly $2,000 to support the important work hospice provides every day.

KRHC CARES presented our May donation to Brooke with Backpacks for Kids yesterday. 💖

Four years ago, Brooke Fett—one of our wonderful KRHC nurses—started the Backpacks for Kids initiative with her family. What began as a small effort has grown into an incredible program now providing over 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to local kids each year.

The CARES Committee was proud to contribute $445 to help purchase the supplies and support area students as they head into the school year.

The public is invited to join Brooke and show your support by attending the Algona Races on July 16th when students receive their backpacks!
