This summer, Home and Community Recreation Therapy marks a major milestone celebrating 20 years of bringing recreation therapy directly into the homes and communities of the clients we serve. Under the leadership of Diane Wagner-Heffner, HCRT has grown into a trusted team consisting of 40+ contracted CTRSs, a Financial and Personnel Administrator, an Office Manager and Billing Specialist, and 2 Clinical Managers who each bring specialized expertise in neuro-rehabilitation and the challenges of the ever changing world of Michigan's auto insurance policies. Our team also navigated the CARF process and is proud to highlight our CARF accreditation in all conversations we share with clients, families, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members we work alongside every day. HCRT is proud to be one of the only CARF accredited single service RT provider in the country!
What sets HCRT apart is our flexibility with scheduling, creative interventions, commitment to quality, person-centered therapy, and all of our therapists are certified with neuro experience. Working outside the walls of a clinic requires a different kind of skilled therapist, one who can think on their feet, adapt in the moment, and help clients build real-life skills in the actual environments where they live and engage with their communities. Because of this, HCRT holds its team to a higher standard, requiring ongoing education and offering frequent training opportunities to keep our therapists at the top of their field.
Over the past two decades, HCRT has taken pride in the dedication, professional involvement, and diverse qualifications of our contracted CTRS network and office team. As we celebrate this anniversary, we're grateful for our incredible team, and the clients and families who have trusted us to be part of their journeys.
