Insight's Sarah Wires presented “Digital Tug-of-War: Screen Habit Skills for Parents” at Cardinal Ridge Elementary last week. Great turnout and some really insightful questions from parents navigating this with their kids.

Sarah works with children and families on issues like screen use, where small shifts in how parents approach it can make a huge difference. If your child is struggling with screen limits, anxiety, or behavioral changes tied to screen time, Sarah can help.

Put the major therapy approaches head-to-head and almost none of them beats the others. Researchers named it after the dodo bird in Alice in Wonderland (everybody wins, everybody gets a prize).

Which leaves a harder question. If the approach isn’t what predicts whether therapy helps, how do you tell a good therapist from a bad one? Especially when the research says therapists are bad at judging that about themselves.

Recovery Fest 2026 was terrific!

Insight's Craig James and Chrissy Chow represented Insight on a panel discussion, answering questions from the community about navigating substance use difficulties. Matt Christian, LCSW, LSATP and Cyndi Turner also shared the day with community members in recovery, and those who may still be struggling. Also, it was great to see the other providers, public and private organizations, peers, and advocacy groups supporting recovery in Loudoun County.

Recovery from substance use difficulties doesn't happen in a vacuum. It takes
a community. We're grateful for everyone who showed up.

Last night was the International Overdose Awareness Day vigil here in Loudoun County, organized by Chrissy Chow and a group of community stakeholders who’ve been doing this work for a long time. Great turnout. People came to remember loved ones they’ve lost, and to talk about where we go from here.
A great way to kick off National Recovery Month.
Insight is proud to be part of this community.
