(AVC), a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3), teaching children with all degrees of hearing loss how to listen and speak WITHOUT the use of sign language or lip reading. (AVC), a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3), has provided a family-centered and holistic approach to supporting and improving the lives of the deaf or hard of hearing. AVC offers truly unique services, making it one of only a few such

centers in the United States offering comprehensive Auditory-Verbal therapy and a full-service Audiology & Hearing Aid Clinic. We focus on listening and spoken language, with locations in Atlanta and Macon and for those families who can't make the drive or are out of the state, we offer Teletherapy for the Auditory-Verbal Program. The Audiology & Hearing Aid Clinic is at the Atlanta location and serves anyone from birth to seniors with the primary focus of adult clients. The Listening and Spoken Language Specialists in the Auditory-Verbal Program teach children with all degrees of hearing loss how to listen and speak WITHOUT the use of sign language or lip reading. All of our highly-trained specialists can offer services and consultation or referrals on a vast variety of issues concerning auditory-verbal therapy, cochlear implants, hearing aids and a host of other hearing impaired resources for the deaf or hard of hearing.

🎓✨ New Graduate Spotlight ✨🎓

Join us in celebrating a huge milestone! 🎉 One of our incredible clients has officially graduated from our therapy program at the Auditory Verbal Center!

At just four years old, Wolfe is already proving that there are no limits to what he can accomplish. After receiving his cochlear implant late last year, he embraced his new world of sound with the same enthusiasm and joy he brings to everything he does — and he is absolutely thriving.

An active and adventurous little boy, Wolfe loves soccer, swimming, and golf, but nothing brings him more happiness than spending time with his brother, Jax. At school, he especially enjoys playground time and reading stories with his teachers.

Wolfe’s cochlear implant has opened the door to a world of sound that follows him everywhere — even into the pool. As a child who loves to swim, being able to hear while in the water has been an incredible milestone. Whether he is splashing through the pool or practicing his strokes, sound is now part of every moment, and his excitement is contagious.

In less than a year since receiving his cochlear implant, Wolfe has already discovered one of his favorite sounds: birds. Everywhere he goes, he stops to listen and asks those around him, “Do you hear that?” It is a simple question that beautifully captures the remarkable journey he is on — one filled with discovery, wonder, and endless possibility.

We are proud of Wolfe, and his story is a beautiful reminder of the joy, confidence, and opportunities that listening and spoken language can bring.

Yeraldi created a beautiful spring painting during her teletherapy session, and we loved seeing her creativity shine! 💕 As a bilingual learner developing both English and Spanish, this activity provided so many meaningful opportunities to build listening and spoken language skills in both languages.

From painting colorful tulips to talking about colors, flowers, shapes, and the spring season, every moment encouraged communication, vocabulary, and connection through play and creativity. 🌼🖌️
