If you’re looking for lightweight hydration, Kari Gran®’s Moisture Milk is one of Dr. Erickson’s favorite moisturizers.

It absorbs quickly, layers beautifully with other skincare products, and provides hydration without feeling heavy or greasy.

Breaking out in your 40s? Perimenopause may be the reason.

As estrogen levels decline, hormonal shifts can trigger increased oil production, inflammation, and the deep, jawline acne many women experience during perimenopause.

One of the most common things we hear?
“My skin is dry and breaking out at the same time.”

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Hormonal changes can make skin feel unpredictable, but there are treatment options that can help.

Schedule a consultation with our team to create a personalized plan for your skin.

If you’re dealing with acne during perimenopause, it may be time to rethink the products you’re using.

One of the most common mistakes we see is treating midlife acne the same way we treated teenage acne.

Many traditional acne products are designed to aggressively remove oil from the skin. But during perimenopause, estrogen decline can leave skin thinner, drier, and more sensitive.

Over-cleansing and harsh acne treatments can:

• Damage the skin barrier
• Increase irritation and inflammation
• Make dryness and fine lines more noticeable
• Trigger even more breakouts

The goal isn’t to strip your skin. It’s to create balance.

A healthy treatment plan should address acne while also supporting hydration, barrier function, and overall skin health.

June is Men’s Health Month, so here’s your reminder to check in on your skin. 🤍

Melanoma often shows up on the back in men, making it one of the easiest places to miss on your own.

A quick skin exam can help catch changes early and give you peace of mind.

We’ve got your back. Literally.

Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is one of our favorite treatments for patients with significant sun damage and actinic keratoses, rough, scaly precancerous spots caused by UV exposure.

Here’s how it works:
• A light-sensitizing solution is applied to the skin
• It absorbs into damaged cells
• A specialized red light activates the treatment to target precancerous sun damage

PDT can help:
✔️ Treat visible actinic keratoses
✔️ Target precancerous damage we can’t always see yet
✔️ Reduce visible sun damage
✔️ Improve skin texture and tone
✔️ Support long-term skin health

This is one of the ways we proactively treat damaged skin before it progresses into something more serious.

If you’re noticing rough spots that won’t go away or have a history of significant sun exposure, it may be time for a skin check.

Schedule at the link in our bio!

Basal cell carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer and one of the easiest to miss because it doesn’t always look dramatic.

What to look for:
• A pearly or shiny bump
• A spot that looks like a pimple but never goes away
• A sore that bleeds, crusts, or heals and comes back
• A pink or flesh-colored patch that slowly grows over time

If you notice a spot changing, bleeding, or simply not healing, it’s worth getting checked 🤍
