Meet Dr. Vogel! 👋
Dr. Vogel is a board eligible, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, complex arthroscopic and open surgery of the shoulder, knee, and hip, as well as general and trauma orthopedic surgery.
He completed his fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he trained in some of the most advanced surgical procedures in the field including multiligamentous knee reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, hip arthroscopy, and shoulder arthroplasty. During his fellowship he served as assistant team physician for the Carolina Hurricanes, UNC, NC State, Shaw University, and multiple local high schools, working closely with both the UNC basketball and NC State football programs during their 2023-2024 seasons.
Before medicine, Dr. Vogel earned his undergraduate degree from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, where he played four years of collegiate baseball. Born and raised just outside Pittsburgh, he is a proud Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan through and through.
When he is not in the office you can find him fishing, hunting, hiking, grilling, or cheering on his Pittsburgh teams with his wife, three children, and dog.
