How to send US dollars to a Swedish bank account
You can easily transfer money from the United States to a Swedish bank account, even if your money is in US dollars (USD).
Sweden uses Swedish kronor (SEK), so your US dollars will need to be converted into Swedish currency.
One of the easiest ways is to use an online currency exchange and international money transfer service, such as Wise (www.wise.com).
Here is how to do it:
1. Visit www.wise.com or another trusted international money transfer service.
2. Select USD (US dollars) as the currency you want to send.
3. Select SEK (Swedish kronor) as the currency the recipient should receive.
4. Enter the amount you want to transfer.
5. Enter the recipient's Swedish bank details, including their name and IBAN account number. Additional banking details may be required.
6. Pay using one of the available payment methods.
The service will convert your US dollars into Swedish kronor and transfer the money directly to the Swedish bank account.
You can also ask your American bank to make an international bank transfer, although the fees and exchange rates may be different.
Important: Check the exchange rate and transfer fees before confirming your payment.
You do not need a Swedish bank account yourself to send money to Sweden.
