We are incredibly proud to share that U.S. Senator Rand Paul has recognized Crume Drug Store as his Senate Small Business of the Week, honoring owners Derrick Greenwell and Ashley Coomes for their dedication to their customers and the Bardstown and Nelson County community. Senator Paul visited Crume Drug Store on Tuesday, August 18, to personally present the recognition, which was also entered into the Congressional Record. In his remarks, Senator Paul highlighted Crume Drug Store’s remarkable history of serving Nelson County since 1852, as well as Derrick and Ashley’s commitment to preserving the store’s historic identity while continuing to provide the personal care and service of a locally owned, independent pharmacy. He also recognized the Crume team’s support of local schools, churches, athletic programs, community fundraisers and future healthcare professionals. We are honored and grateful to receive this recognition. Most of all, we are thankful for our wonderful customers and community who continue to support Crume Drug Store year after year. Serving Bardstown and Nelson County is a privilege we never take for granted.
