Welcome to Roots Family Collaborative where nurturing and supporting families is our passion. We believe that every family deserves support along their journey through parenthood. Roots Family Collaborative encourages parents to connect, support and gain confidence from one another in a safe and welcoming space. We know that with a lot of love and support, parenting can be the most amazing journey. At Roots Family Collaborative, we are dedicated to strengthening the foundation of early parenting by providing opportunities with the new family in mind. Our unique collaborative provides a supportive and compassionate network, including, regular support groups, enrichment classes for the whole family and a trusted and diverse referral network to help navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood. Support, connection and education are vital to creating compassionate mothers, families and communities.

THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY

As Halloween approaches, we strive to be mindful of all who have experienced loss while also admiring the joy the holiday brings to many.

If there is a light off during typical trick or treat times, may we remember we do not know everyone’s story. Perhaps give grace as you see a light off. Maybe there is a white pumpkin representing families who have lost a loved one. As we head into this holiday, may everyone stay safe, enjoy time spent with or without others and give kindness to all as it costs nothing.

Dancing with the Last Best Stars is just a week away!!

8️⃣ local dancing duos are ready to take the stage for a shot at the Mirrorball Trophy!

📅 Saturday, November 7 🚪 Doors open at 5:30 p.m. ⏰ Show runs from 6–8:30 p.m. 📍 Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture, Bozeman 🍿 Snacks, a photo op and restrooms will be available
👗 Some folks dress up and others will be casual (all are welcome)

Come cheer on the dancers, vote for your favorites and enjoy a fun night out, all while supporting the incredibly important work that Roots Family Collaborative does connecting families with perinatal mental health support from preconception through parenthood.

THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY

Grief doesn’t follow a timeline. It doesn’t care if yesterday was hard or today was good. It doesn’t disappear when we laugh, find joy, or start to feel like ourselves again.

Sometimes, the hardest part is that life keeps moving. There are good days and bad days, moments when the ache feels a little quieter, and moments when the missing hits you all over again. And through it all, there is still someone you wish was here.

Pregnancy and infant loss isn’t something you simply move on from. It’s learning to carry love and loss at the same time. It’s missing someone you never got to bring home, milestones you imagined, and a future that looks different than the one you dreamed of.

And sometimes, all we can do is take it one day at a time.
