Perinatal mental health has been at the forefront of the news lately. And we’ve been tuned in...
While this conversation may feel new to some, our community has been having it for years.
Roots began as a grassroots effort nearly 10 years ago, founded by a group of mothers in the wake of a similar tragedy close to home.
Mothers started talking.
They shared their stories.
They made space for the hard conversations.
And those conversations gained momentum.
One of the first ways we gathered was Moms Like Me—an evening built around sharing stories, finding connection, and reminding one another: you are not alone.
We hope Roots can be an example of what’s possible when a community comes together. And we hope that, in the future, we won’t have to wait for a tragedy to convene.
We can start the conversations now.
We can build the connections now.
We can support families now.
Share this with a friend. Start a conversation in your own community.
Or reach out to Roots. We’re here to support families—and to help other communities explore what’s possible when they’re ready to build something of their own.
Let’s keep the conversation moving. 🤍
More to come.
xoxo, Roots
