The publication, “Predictors of Sinonasal Improvement After Highly Effective Modulator Therapy in Adults with Cystic Fibrosis,” contributes to a growing understanding of sinonasal outcomes in adults with cystic fibrosis undergoing highly effective modulator therapy.

Congratulations to the collaborative team from the UNC Cochlear Implant Research Lab, Division of Otology/Neurotology in the Department of OHNS, and UNC Department of Audiology on receiving a 2025 Top Viewed Article Award from The Laryngoscope 🎉.

Their study, “Benefits of Cochlear Implantation for Older Adults With Asymmetric Hearing Loss,” found that older adults with unilateral or asymmetric hearing loss experienced significant improvements in speech recognition, spatial hearing, tinnitus severity, and perceived hearing abilities with cochlear implant use.
