We have someone new joining the KidSCope family! 🌿 Meet Quinn Holmquist, our new Bilingual Child & Family Therapist.

Starting in September, Quinn will be working with little ones from birth through age 8, as well as adults, with therapy available in both English and Spanish.

You can meet with Quinn in person at KidSCope Village in Chapel Hill or virtually from home, making it a little easier to find care that fits into your family’s life.

We’re so excited for our families to get to know Quinn and to have him as part of KidSCope. 💛

Want to work with Quinn? Send us a DM to get connected!

We are excited to share that our Director, , has been recognized as a 2026 40 Under 40 honoree.

The Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Leadership Awards recognize executives, directors, and C-suite leaders across the Triangle who are creating meaningful impact through innovation, leadership, and engagement. Since becoming Director in 2023, Shanti’s leadership has helped expand KidSCope’s early childhood mental health services through culturally responsive programming, nature-based healing initiatives, family wellness events, and advocacy efforts centered on the needs of children and caregivers. Her vision continues to strengthen KidSCope’s commitment of building spaces where children and families can connect, heal, and grow together.

Reflecting on her work in the Triangle, Shanti shared, “I grew up in the Triangle, and in the late ’90s, I was one of those kiddos who would have greatly benefited from culturally attuned therapy and support for my family, which at that time didn’t really exist. It means a great deal to me to now be part of creating inclusive therapeutic spaces for children and families across the very communities that shaped me.”

Shanti also shared, “This recognition is truly a reflection of the entire KidSCope team whose dedication, compassion, and steady commitment continue to support children and families every day. I especially want to recognize Candace, Kelsy, Leilany, Nia, Sara, Susan, and Yolanda for the intention, integrity, and purpose they bring to this work.”

Please join us in celebrating this exciting recognition and the continued impact KidSCope has in the community!

There’s something really special about slowing down together as a team. 🌿

This week, our Director gathered the KidSCope team for our annual staff retreat. We began the day with a water intention ceremony, grounding ourselves in what we want to carry forward and what we’re ready to release. Throughout the day, we trained in legal matters in child mental health, explored sustaining the healer/practitioner, learned about the healing power of herbs, and made plans for the coming years for ourselves, our families, and our community.

We mailed away our worries, shared delicious food, laughed a lot, and harvested chards bigger than our faces from the Healing Roots garden. 🥬

Deep gratitude to our incredible speakers, Deric Boston, LCSW, Attorney Glenna Boston, and Clinical Herbalist Peregrine Bermas from .world for pouring wisdom into our team.

The work of caring for children and families begins with caring for the people doing the work. 🤍

We’re sending you lots of love today! Happy Mother’s Day! ♥️🌹

Recognizing the signs can save a life. Sudden behavior changes, fearfulness, unexplained injuries, withdrawal, or signs of neglect should never be ignored. Prevention starts when we, as adults pay attention, ask questions, and take action.
