Researchers at UNC Chapel Hill are studying how young children respond when screen time ends. Families with 4- or 5-year-olds are invited to take part in a paid research study. Participation includes a brief visit plus a few quick daily surveys. Families can earn up to $100, and free parking is included. A researcher will be at The Nest on Saturday, July 11 and Saturday, July 18 to share more about this opportunity. Did you know that our garden at The Nest is a certified Monarch Waystation? 🦋 It's officially registered with Monarch Watch as a habitat that provides milkweed, nectar sources, and shelter to support monarchs on their migration through North America. Small garden, big impact for these incredible travelers!

Pollinator Party is back! Join us on June 20th from 10–11 AM at The Nest’s Outdoor Learning Garden for a fun, hands-on exploration of bees, butterflies, and other garden heroes.
