Is it the time commitment? The emotional side of it? How it would affect your own children? Or just not knowing where to begin?

We'd like to know what's on your mind. There are a lot of questions about foster parenting, and it's okay to have them.

What's one thing you've always wanted to know about fostering?

When did you last ask yourself how you're doing? Not how work is going. Not how the kids are doing. Not whether everyone else has what they need.

How are YOU doing?

Life gets busy, and it's easy to keep moving without stopping to think about how you're feeling. If things have felt heavier lately, talking with a therapist could be one way to work through what's going on. ❤️

The house is finally quiet. You're lying in bed, and suddenly you're thinking about that moment earlier when you may have lost your patience.

Should you have handled it differently? Did you hurt their feelings? How could you approach it next time?

Parenting can bring up a lot of those questions. Sometimes, talking things through with someone can help you work through the hard moments and feel more confident moving forward.

What’s something about parenting you wish more people talked about?

"What makes a house feel like home?"

Is it the familiar sounds in the morning? Someone saving you a seat at the table? Knowing there's a place for you when you walk through the door?
For a child navigating a difficult season, those everyday moments can help create a sense of safety and belonging.

Foster parents and caregivers help make room for those kind of moments. Do you think your home be a place where a child feels supported?
