This pyramid is not peer-reviewed. In fact, it means absolutely nothing👌🏼

Because the truth is, any one of these could be at the top depending on who you are, what you need, and what actually clicks for you. We’re lucky to have clinicians who offer so many different modalities and approaches, because therapy is definitely not one-size-fits-all.

And if you felt some kind of way about CBT being at the top… just know she might not be the trendiest girl on the team, but she’s still one of the most searched and booked🏆

As for the rest? They all deserve their moment at the top, especially with the right clinician.

Okay, now you can fight about the rankings in the comments💀

Consider this our official reminder that your long run and your therapy appointment can coexist!

Excited to represent Caladrius Therapy at Around the Crown and bring a little mental health representation to the running community. Because we love a coping skill, but sometimes you still have to talk about it 🛋️

See you out there, Charlotte! 👑🏃🏼‍♀️

We promise, your therapist knows that life happens. Schedules change, people get sick, work runs late, emergencies come up, and sometimes a cancellation is completely unavoidable.

But recurring therapy appointments are also time that’s being held specifically for you. When late cancellations or no-shows become frequent, your therapist may need to enforce their attendance policy; which could mean a fee, losing a recurring appointment time, or needing to schedule based on current availability.

Most practices review these policies during intake, and they’re typically included in the informed consent paperwork you sign before beginning therapy. It’s always worth knowing what your therapist’s policy is before it has to be enforced.

We don’t enjoy enforcing attendance policies either. We’d much rather see you at your appointment 🙃

September reminders 🍂

A new season, a new school year, or a new month can bring a lot of pressure to reset, get it together, or kick things into gear. But a fresh start doesn’t have to mean expecting more from yourself.

Sometimes it’s just adjusting your pace, finding a little comfort where you can, and remembering that a hard day doesn’t erase all the progress you’ve made.

Take what you need into September 🤎

Reporting live from the therapy room: here’s what’s currently topping the leaderboard 🏆

Therapy has a funny way of reminding you that the thing you’ve been privately spiraling about is often the exact same thing someone else is trying to figure out too.

Dating is exhausting. Boundaries sound much easier in theory. Everything costs approximately one million dollars. Your algorithm may or may not know you better than you know yourself. And apparently we’re already worried about the holidays.

Some of it is funny, some of it is heavy, and most of it is a little bit of both.

The rankings are always changing. What did I miss? 🫠

We joke about the end-of-session bomb drop, but honestly, it makes sense. Sometimes it takes most of the session to feel safe enough to say the thing, and sometimes you don’t realize that’s the thing until we’ve spent 49 minutes getting there.

The problem? We now have one minute 🤦🏻‍♀️

So we might acknowledge it, make sure you’re okay to leave with it, and put a pin in it for next time. Not because it isn’t important, but because it’s important enough to deserve more than 60 seconds.

And just like that, we know exactly where we’re starting next week 😂

Part of therapy is helping you make the connection for yourself instead of just handing you the answer.

And part of being a therapist is sitting there thinking, “Come onnnnn. You’re so close!”
