We are excited to announce being a Civic Foundation Community Grant Recipient!

Thanks to Civic Foundation for supporting Bright Notes, Bright Futures, a 4-week music therapy group program for young children (ages 3-5) with a disability and their family to attend in collaboration with local organizations throughout Mecklenburg County over the next year.

Thanks again to the Arts & Science Council's Community Connector Grant for supporting music therapy programming "Second Verse Collective" starting this fall 2026, for residents of Hope Haven, Inc., and Charlotte Rescue Mission Dove's Nest & Rebound Campuses.

These on-site workshops will support adults with substance use disorders to explore the creative arts for their self-expression, coping skill development, and community building efforts!

Exciting news to share... the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority has approved ESA+ Grant dollars to also be available for covering music lesson costs. Let us know if you're interested in joining the studio through the educational funding!

We're stoked to celebrate former Piedmont Music Therapy intern Anne Frances Frazier, MT-BC on earning her board certification through Certification Board for Music Therapists—a milestone that reflects countless hours of learning, dedication, and a deep commitment to serving others through music. While this achievement belongs to her, it also reminds us why investing in the next generation of music therapists is so important.
