I've had a lot of questions about my name:

Nozomi is a Japanese noun '望み (のぞみ)' that means 'wish' or 'hope'. It refers to a desire or aspiration - a goal to achieve or a dream to fulfill. It is my hope that everyone coming to Nozomi Speech Therapy will reach their goals to communicate more effectively. I first learned of the word "望み" when I was an undergraduate, teaching English at Nozomi Church

in Japan. Now I am realizing my own wish to work with families, and I'm teaching again in a church where the Bible is taught, bringing Hope in it's truest form to anyone with a heart to receive it. And I just love the way that word NOZOMI sounds and looks.

Back by popular demand, I am offering the More Than Words program again. I have room for 4 more families. It is a program for children under 7 who have the communication challenges seen in autism or similar developmental challenges. Message me any questions - there are some grant/scholarship opportunities. We start next month!
