"Forgiveness is something I’ve struggled with, especially forgiving myself.
I carried years of guilt over the lies I told, the promises I broke, the people I hurt, and the opportunities I missed. I hated the person I had become. That self-pity and self-loathing kept me trapped in addiction far longer than I ever wanted to admit.
My family told me over and over that I was loved, that I mattered, and that I was worthy of forgiveness. But I couldn’t believe them because I didn’t believe it about myself.
Coming to No Longer Bound has started to change that.
Five months sober, I’m finally learning to see myself through a different lens. I’m learning to take responsibility for what is mine, let go of what isn’t, and understand that my past doesn’t have to define my future.
Most importantly, I’m learning that forgiveness isn’t just something I need to give to others. I need to give it to myself, too.
I’m grateful for No Longer Bound and the opportunity to heal, grow, and build a future rooted in forgiveness—for myself, my family, and the people I haven’t even met yet.”
